T G VANNER Chartered Architect was set up in 1976 by Terry Vanner after he left Powell and Moya Architects responsible for many notable University buildings at Cambridge and Oxford as well as the Skylon at the festival of Britain and some of Britain's finest hospitals. While at Powell and Moya, Terry Vanner worked on hospitals and the renovation and enlargement of New House at Oundle School Northamptonshire. In 1974 the office of Powell and Moya was awarded the RIBA Gold medal. Terry Vanner left Powell and Moya in 1976 but continued to work on Oundle School for a further four years until its completion. Terry gained a diploma in architecture at the Polytechnic of North London in 1974 gaining a distinction for his final thesis on a clothing factory and a commendation for his intermediate thesis on an autistic unit. He was elected a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Architects Registration Council of the United Kingdom (now the Architects Registration Board) in 1974. |
