T G VANNER Chartered Architect was set up in 1976 by Terry Vanner after he left Powell and Moya Architects responsible for many notable University buildings at Cambridge and Oxford as well as the Skylon at the festival of Britain and some of Britain's finest hospitals. While at Powell and Moya, Terry Vanner worked on hospitals and the renovation and enlargement of New House at Oundle School Northamptonshire. In 1974 the office of Powell and Moya was awarded the RIBA Gold medal. Terry Vanner left Powell and Moya in 1976 but continued to work on Oundle School for a further four years until its completion. Terry gained a diploma in architecture at the Polytechnic of North London in 1974 gaining a distinction for his final thesis on a clothing factory and a commendation for his intermediate thesis on an autistic unit. He was elected a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Architects Registration Council of the United Kingdom (now the Architects Registration Board) in 1974.

Terry Vanner has been Chairman of the Chelmsford Chapter of Architects on three separate occasions for a total of four years and a past Chairman of RIBA East practice committee. Terry is an assessor with the RIBA CPD Providers Network.

Married to Christine in 1972, Terry and Christine have three children; Adam - A university lecturer gaining a BA in Computer Animation and Visualization and an MA in digital Special Effects, Shelley - An officer with a Local Authority responsible for articles, photographs and layout of the Local Authority newspaper. She is a member of the Institute of Public Relations and Zoe - currently at university studying philosophy and sociology. Christine is a member of the Stock Pre School team and has a diploma in pre school practice.
