Assyrians

This is my Assyrian army. I have no idea where most of the figures came from as I picked them up in a DBM army that I bought on the B&B at Devizes in July 2002. The only ones I know are the bulls from the God element are from the Spanish wine Sangre de Torro (the bulls come attached to the neck bottle), and the God figure (Adad - God of Storms) is Foundry and was given to me by a friend. Adad is a 25(28)mm figure and with the bulls does take up a fair bit of room on the base...but he is meant to be an impressive God. The list is based upon the one found on The Stronghold but with a variation of the Knights instead of a Behemoth as the DBM list does have a number of Knight chariots, and a Shooter rather than a Flyer.I will drop the Shooter as soon as I can get a suitable Flyer figure.

This is my firsy army with a God and and even further I have added a second God since this army was formed. Sin apparently rides a winged bull. The bull figure was the standard Sangre de Torro toy and I drilled holes for the wings. The wings are from the Giant Eagles Warmaster blister pack - I knew they'd come in usefull eventually. He also had a blue beard, or rather one made of Lapis Lazuli, a blue jewel. The figure itself is Foundry. When using the second God I tend to drop the Shooter and Rider.
