More fun in the Saunders House
Week Monday 24th March..
Not much on the report here as Alan already said it all on the HOTT yahoo group.
Game 1
Angel of Mons vs Alans Elves. I was using the Aerial Hero version this time.
Alan took the hill and St George went along the river bank and crossed it only to be zapped by the 2 Wood Elf Mages and not just trapped by strange decorative confetti but destroyed by it too.
The Royal Flying Corps pomptly followed St George to oblivion.
It remained for the Shooters to do all the work and after some bad combat dice Alan got shot to bits on his left flank and lost the 2 Shooters and both Mages, the second mage leaving the field moments after theis picture was taken.....
Game 2.
Alan used his Orcs and I had his Arabs. Alan deployed on his right so I matched him.
There was a mighty crash of arms in the centre of the field.
Alan whittled away my left flank but then was starved of pips to exploit it. He also started to roll up my right flank but I managed to break of contact ans send the Arab Blade general through to take the Stronghold with the help of the magic carpets.
Game 3.
Alan had the Chinese and I used my Orcs. It took ages for Alan to get his Dragons on but when they arrived one fitted snugly into the gap.
Amazingly the Warband saw off the Dragon. Sadly the other was put to good use pinning my Beast General whilt Alan's Knights sped round the flank.
I shot myself in the foot by failing to consider the implications of failing in the following combat...
Yeap, I lost and recoiled into the woods with the flyers !!
