Lena512: Compression Test Results
'Lena' has been one of the standard test images used in computer graphics for quite a number of years, and has an interesting history . For those of a curious nature, the original source data was obtained from this site .
The uncompressed raw image would occupy either 512kb at 16bpp, or 768kb at 24bpp.

(For interest, this is a Pseudo Colour Image showing VQ code book usage)Equal Storage Space (approx 64k)
Since the 4 bit palettised mode is so bad with this test example, it has subsequently been ignored.
