Q: How can I buy eRules?

A: Download the free, fully featured demonstration programme and try it out. If you like it, follow the registration instructions and send us a cheque. We will send you a 'key' to unlock the full eRules.

Q: Why can't I just carry on using the free demonstration?

A: You can - for as long as you like. The only difference between the demonstration version and the full version is that the demonstration version will not give the results of any firing.

Q: Will eRules work on my system?

A: If you have Windows 95 or any later version of Windows on a stand-alone PC, eRules should work. The great thing is that you can try it out before you buy.

Q: How do I install eRules?

A: Just click on the 'Download' button and follow the instructions. A self-extracting 'package' will be copied to the folder of your choice. Just double click on that to start the automatic setup process.

Q: Can eRules be completely removed from my system if I no longer want it?

A: No problem. Just click 'Settings/Control Panel' on your Startup menu. Double click on 'Add/Remove Programs'. Select 'eRules ...' and click 'Add/Remove'.

Q: What about viruses?

A: Viruses can cause a lot of damage to your system. It is a good idea to create back-up copies of anything you do not already have on a CD or floppy. Also, you should test the eRules installation package with a virus checker before launching it. On the other hand, some anti-virus software interferes with software installation, so you may need to switch it off once you have decided to install eRules.

Q: Can I get technical support if I have problems with eRules on my system?

A: Just e-mail support@wargamesystems.co.uk. We will respond within 24 hours.

Q: Is eRules a game?

A: eRules is a tool to help you play faster, more realistic wargames with military models.

Q: Does eRules have 3D graphics?

A: eRules is not an arcade game and is not about graphics. eRules is about interpreting a sophisticated set of rules to give you fast results in order to let you concentrate on tactics.

Q: Is eRules just a fancy set of rules on computer?

A: It isn't a set of rules at all. You will not find pages of rules in eRules, though you will find some guidance on rules. eRules is more like an umpire than a set of rules.

Q: Where can I get the Wargames Research Group rules that eRules is about?

A: Click here.

Q: Why doesn't WargameSystems supply the WRG rules with the programme?

A: We wish we could, but it would not be economic to get involved in mail order just for one publication.

Q: If I have the WRG rules, why would I need eRules?

A: Try them, then read our summary of the benefits of eRules, then try eRules - free! What have you got to lose?

Q: Why not use faster sets of WWII rules like 'Rapid Fire' or 'Spearhead'?

A: These are options, but paper-based systems have to sacrifice either a lot of interesting and often important detail, or speed. With eRules, you get both - in spades! Also, you may find that a large platoon in eRules is treated as a whole battalion in some of these rules. It depends what you want to do.
