Kassiopia Theatre Company was formed in 1996 by Yvonne A.K. Johnson and Ruth Kavanagh. Kassiopia specialises in Irish contemporary theatre. In
1997 we performed Lovers-Winners
by Brian Friel to much acclaim at the Riverside Studios in London, the
Edinburgh Fringe Festival and in various venues in the USA. In
1998 we were invited to Milwaukee Irish Fest in the USA (one of the
largest Irish festivals in the world with a strong theatre presence) to
perform The Marlboro Man by
Clare Dowling. Our
next project is the newly revised version of One Last White Horse
by the Dublin playwright, novelist and poet, Dermot Bolger, to be
performed from 17 April – 5 May 2001 at The Union Theatre in
London. Kassiopia
is also involved in teaching children's drama and dance workshops in the
USA, the UK and Ireland. |
