a project with luis romero and fundación la llama (caracas) - tipos moviles UK was supported by Arts Council England

last autumn, while in residency with la llama in venezuela, luis romero (director of the foundation) introduced an old printers' workshop dating back from the 1920's, still using a machine made in 1904, and currently run by rogelio, a wonderful cuban man born in 1924 who wishes to retire soon

we would like him to be able to retire, but we would also like to save the machine from retirement and ensure someone takes over the workshop after he leaves. ten artists were invited to the first poster book, curated by luis romero.

participating artisis: - tipos moviles: carlos zerpa, antonieta sosa, jaime gili, luis romero, sandra vivas, roberto obregón, hector fuenmayor, matias pintó, dulce gómez and sigfredo chacón
