Welcome to our home page. We are a small consultancy company based in Oxford, England specialising in data conversion and integration. We can handle all jobs ranging from merging two mailing lists to a complete accounting system port between dissimilar hardware and operating systems. We can get anything out of anything and load it into anything else! (well, almost). Most of our work involves moving data to and from DOS / Windows, Unix and Vax/VMS systems but we really can cope with anything - even weird minicomputer turnkey systems where there isn't any documentation and where the last person to understand it left the company five years ago. If the worst comes to the worst we write some DOS custom code to emulate an interactive terminal and grab the data from the video memory. It takes a long time but it works.

Many clients are becoming interested in using the open source operating system Linux, and we have extensive experience using this system and porting applications to it. We can advise on the most appropriate distribution to use, and can configure the system to satisfy the client's requirements. Linux will happily run most SCO Unix and Xenix binaries, and can provide a very cost effective replacement for a SCO legacy system.

We use a number of different techniques according to the task required, including off-the-shelf and custom written generic processing tools and custom programming in a number of languages. This experience gives us the ability to code in C, Pascal, Fortran, Cobol, assembler, and numerous languages too obscure to mention (ever heard of SPITBOL? Bliss32? We have...)

We are happy to work on a time and expenses basis to provide general conversion consultancy, or we will quote fixed price for a turnkey conversion where is is possible to agree firm completion criteria and where the scale of the task can be estimated reasonably accurately. Our rates are very competitive and certainly compare well with other solutions such as rekeying or scanning in hardcopy.
