The Viper as it arrived ...
If you recognise anything about it, please let me know, as I'd love to know who did all the original work ! It came with KTT oil tank, KSS screw-fix exhaust and megga, BTH-TT mag, Amal-GP carb on a flowed 1 5/32in inlet, fully de-lugged frame, rear-set footrest mounts directly on the frame, rear frame brace, bobbin rear hub, scalloped clip-on indents in the fuel tank, alloy engine plates, close-ratio gearbox with reversed cam-plate, drilled clutch, Thruxton cam followers and 1-piece pushrods, polished rockers and rod, but only 9:1 CR as it had a .030 comp plate. Oh, and it also came with lights, a dynamo and a chain guard ! Could it have been prepped once for Endurance Racing at Thruxton ? The Velo records show that it was shipped on 9jul58 to Olivers of Staines for S. B. Smith of Englefield Road, Egham.
So here it is ready for the first outing !
Race #1 with the CRMC at Lydden !
Race #2 - Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the VMCC Lydden weekend, but if YOU do, I'd love some copies Race #3 - Ditto for the VMCC Three Sisters weekend
