Some of my interests.

Progressive music.

For more reviews of bands I like see my Progressive Rock Pages.

The Progressive Rock Experience

Groups that have received my attention in the UK are IQ, Pendragon, Vulgar Unicorn, Manning, and Sphere. Internationally I have reviewed progressive music from Europe, USA (see Metaphor review, Sphere review, Earthstone review, Fonya snippet), Mexico, Japan, and Scandinavia!

I started liking Genesis back in 1973 and saw the band 11 times.

Progressive music didn't die, in fact its alive and well whether in Cuba or Canada!

Acoustic Guitarist that could be me

If you don't believe me tune into www.progrock.com where you can listen/request progressive music 24 hours a day - wow!

Reading.

Some of my favourite authors are:

Philip Jose Farmer
who has written many excellent books including The Riverworld Series which is a mindful insight into how life after death could result in a strange surprise.

Robert Silverberg

who has a capable for wonderful sci-fi and fantasy stories.

Willam Horwood

Who made reading about Moles a unique cultural experience.

Robert Rankin or even more Robert Rankin

Bizarre, unnaturally funny, and Brentford becomes an icon!

Running. I have participated in the London Marathon in 1983 (in jester's hat - receiving 5 sec of TV fame) and 1989, plus taken part in several long distance country races in Leicestershire during 1994/6 raising money for a number of good causes (Muscular Dystrophy, Children’s' Oncology Appeal, and Coping with Cancer). In 1998 I helped Huncote Harriers my running club to win the Leicestershire Round Relay Trophy and also in August 2001 to win the second place.

Walking. I have completed the following trails, South West Way (1990-1993), Cotswold Way (1992) Offa's Dyke (1994-95), Norfolk Coastal Path (1995), Pembrokeshire Coastal Path (1996), Dales Way (1997) and Peddar's Way (1998).

The Red Centre is where I am at!

The Green Man

Mythical Images

I am particularly interested in the origins of the mythological entity called The Green Man ever since reading the book by Kingsley Amis and visiting many churches and cathedrals in this country. My search found that the Green Man is present even in Mexico.

Who is he?
