Directions from Alicante Airport
From the airport car park, take the middle lane and follow signs for Valencia - left over a bridge. After this, be careful not to take the A340, which goes straight on. Instead, stay in the inside lane (right hand lane) as you want to take the motorway, the slip-road for which comes up very quickly and bends sharply to the right. Once on the main motorway continue until Junction 70, signposted for Universities and Alcoy. At the roundabout take the road signed for Alcoy (Alcoi) and St Vincente. Continue to follow signs for Alcoy and then Concentaina. Go through Concentaina and down through 2 sets of traffic lights and past two garages. At the second garage, move into the inside lane and turn off when you see the sign for Muro De Alcoy. Drive through Muro and Benimarfull, and continue on this road, which winds its way toward Planes. At the first proper road junction you come to after you leave the roundabout at Benimarfull, turn right. This road junction will be just after a sharp bend and is marked with a road junction sign. There are other tracks off this road, so be careful to only take the one with the road junction sign. The entrance to Casa Carmel is immediately in front of an "S" bend sign a few hundred yards down this road. If you end up in Planes, you have missed the turning.
