"The first time I walked into the Monday night Duck and Drake jazz jam
session some three years ago I knew immediately that I wanted to capture on film
something of the fantastic atmosphere of the venue and the
energy and creativity of the musicians.
I have never used the harsh light of electronic flash in the Duck and Drake.
This is challenging from a technical point of view
but it does allow an honest representation of the mood of a uniquely 'unimproved'
and intimate city centre public house.
