EXTRA LARGE LHASA 6-10KG 16-21 INCHES. Excellent sound lasts 4 to 5 mins. I always try to keep at least 10 in stock.
These bowls have many tones. High notes are best heard by stirring with an extra large wooden stick or struck with small cloth-covered beater. The lower notes are best heard with an extra large wooden stick with leather or my preferred method is to beat continuously with a large cloth-covered mallet until the thudding sound is heard and felt. I personally find the low octave deep notes are the most healing. I have found that it is the vibration felt in the body more than the sound that is healing. The higher notes give me the feeling of spacousness and in that way meditation is easier.
All of these bowls are less than 10 years old.
Useful exercise: place the bowl upside down over the head. Balance the bowl on the head and strike with beater. Fantastic way to experience the multitude o tones of your bowl.
