Future Products

It is intended to continue with the range in the very near future, after the orders for the C & C1 classes have been supplied.

The research and preparation, including CAD drawing and checking have, up till now taken some 9 months. Clearly this will speed up as time goes on.

The purpose of this page is to advertise the possibilities for future production, and invite interest in the form of firm orders. It is not possible to tell what production costs will be exactly, but the current prices of comparable products will be a primary guide.

Please e-mail indicating your preferences, so that interest can be gauged.
As the production costs run into hundred of pounds, please record only serious intentions. Thank you.

There were some 67 of these vehicles - which makes it far more common than one would think. Pictures of them per se are not common, but they do lurk in the background of many. A famous picture of an E3 in Brighton station c 1900 bears the caption referring to a lady seated in front of a Billinton full 2nd - which is, in fact, this very coach. Also, in a Middleton Press volume - Chichester to Portsmouth - there is clearly one of these coaches at East Southsea, standing across the platform from the Terrier ‘Preston’. The compartments were arranged 3rd - 1st - 2nd - 1st - 3rd.

This makes it a ‘missing link’ for many an 1895 - 1920’s LB&SCR train
