Lottery grant aid worth more than £12.8m will boost a new national initiative to help communities create their own green spaces over the next seven years.
Groups can seek a grant of up to £150,000 and technical advice to create a village green or open space or revive an existing area. This initiative follows on from the Millennium Greens programme which is already creating 250 open spaces. For details contact Marilyn Rawson on 020-73402947.
