Minutes of AGM of the 19 January 1999: matters arising,

Mike Rayner explained that a 75% majority for voting purpses meant that 75% of the members present had to vote for a motion.

Secretary's Report 1999:

Mike Rayner presented his report.The meeting discussed the format of group meetings, Giving lifts to group walks and events additional to the usual walk programme. Chris McDowell said there had been a lack of support for the last weekend, and she would not be able to organise them in the future. Peter Morrill suggested a sub-committee to organise the walk programme and the monthly meetings. George Elliott said the walk programmes had been successfully organised in the same way for 13 years, and did not agree that a committee could organise them. B Walks were suggested, and the meeting was reminded that Fred Elliott had offered to lead a 15 mile walk in July suitable for new members.

Treasurer's Report:

Elllison Barron explained the accounts. Profit in the year was £227.88, and money in hand at the year end was £1153.73. Ellison explained that £431.03 had been received from the Durham Dales 100 account, being the repayment of expenditure from the group's account made before entry receipts for the Hundred had come in. The £40 Hundred shareout was money from the 1998 White Peak Hundred which had been distributed to those who had helped on that event.
