| CHURCH AND ITS WORSHIP | |||
| St. Edmund's has evolved from serving a small village community to being a parish church serving a population of almost 8,000 people. Many of these parishioners live in Thorpe Marriott, a modern housing development built over the last 20 years. Our mission statement simply says "Sharing Jesus with the Community" | |||
| At the heart of our worship is the celebration of the Holy Communion, Eucharist, and our worship recognises that different people appreciate different things. | |||

| There are occasional services on a Sunday evening and these are announced in our notice sheets. The church is perceived as warm, friendly and welcoming. Many people come to our church for baptisms and weddings, literally hundreds every year and no-one is excluded from these services within our community. Other regular visitors to our church are pupils from our schools who come either for worship or for various aspects of the National Curriculum. | |||
