                                                                                                            Mr. Hawkes.

 2. THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, held on Thursday 8th May 2003, were read, approved and signed as correct.

3. MATTERS ARISING:- None.

 4. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN:-

Mr. Hoggart had expressed his willingness to accept nomination as Chairman.

Wg. Cdr. Leigh nominated Mr Derek Hoggart for the position of Chairman, Mr. Smith seconded the nomination.  The vote in favour was unanimous, and so Mr. Hoggart was duly declared elected.

 5. ELECTION OF VICE-CHAIRMAN:-

Mrs Hawkes nominated Wg. Cdr. Leigh for the position of Vice-Chairman. The nomination was seconded by Mr. Faulkner, and the vote was unanimously in favour. Wg. Cdr. Leigh was therefore duly declared elected.

 6. Appointment of representatives:-

 (i) Coleridge Bus Community:- No representative deemed necessary.

(ii) Coleridge Association:- Wg. Cdr. Leigh said that, like the Saltstone Group, this Association would in his opinion seem to have been set up as a pressure group, to lobby SHDC or DCC, but in practice merely receives briefings at its meetings from SHDC. The appointed representative may be any Councillor, unlike the Saltstone Group, where the representative should be the Chairman or his deputy, and it is probably only necessary for the representative to attend those meetings where there are relevant issues to be discussed.  It was decided to leave this appointment until the June Meeting of the Parish Council.

(iii) The Saltstone Group:-  Mrs Hawkes volunteered to act as representative to the group, and was duly appointed.

(iv) Footpaths Warden:- In the absence of Mr. Conboy, it was decided to defer his possible re-appointment until the June Meeting.

(v) Schools Liaison:- Mr. Smith was asked to continue as this representative, and agreed to do so.

(vi) Village hall Committee:- Mr. Smith agreed to continue as representative on the Village Hall Committee.

There being no other business for the Annual General Meeting, it was then closed.
