(The Rusty Spoke)
					On a brief visit to Oslo, I came across Einar Bowitz’s cycle shop Den Rustine Eike (The Rusty Spoke). What made the visit memorable was that Einar had quite a number of bicycles of historic vintage stored away in his cellar, awaiting an opportunity to exhibit them. Einar did show me some of his collection of old cycle illustrations. Those that appear here are of the amusing nature from a copy of Illustrated Standard circa 1896 which Einar kindly photostatted for me. But Einar had not heard of Frank Patterson until my visit so I hope he will spread the word around Scandinavia.
