We would be very interested to learn of any experiences with flow problems on stretches of river which are perched or influent. Has any remedial action been successful in reducing or eliminating this effect?
Where sections of river dry frequently what has been the effects on the local fauna and flora? Are fish and aquatic life collected as far as possible from the drying sections and transported to other flowing sections? The EA has done sterling service using this method but re-colonisation of some species can be very slow.
