* Skiing well, with good skis, especially
on the last lap. Disappointing shooting. Can I learn to ski 3 laps like
that last, without blowing up or spoiling the shooting? I often start
too fast, and I think that today was probably a better way to ski - and
despite it I did not shoot well, so perhaps the causal link is not as
strong as one intuitively expects.

very disappointing. Successful new 'micropeaking' regime - hard session

* Pouring rain, crazily wet course.
I was lucky to be off early at number 3, so had much better conditions
than later starters. With 3 penalties I did not take advantage of the
opportunity, but a reasonable percentage, given the penalties. Reasonable
skis (surprisingly, used a new fine stonegrind with 1mm rill), and reasonable
skiing; shooting quickly standing.

* Desperately hard, the most painful
biathlon I have done. Hard to tell how the skis were as I skied alone,
but the conditions felt slow. Annoying to miss 2 in the standing shoot,
but after the huge hill in the second loop I was under a lot of physiological
stress. Avoided interacting tactically with Marc Walker who started 30"
behind me, which was good.

still hurt from Friday's sprint. Delighted to shoot clear in 10 - for
the first time ever. A shame to do it in a relay when it does not matter,
and when I could have used another 6 rounds without anyone complaining.
* Relay leg times should be taken
with a pinch of salt as different individuals are confronted with different
tactical circumstances and (possibly) snow conditions.
