Lecture Courses

Artificial Intelligence

I gave the AI Lecture Course in 1986 and 1987. It covers the whole of "Good Old Fashioned AI" but not in depth. Neural networks (which arguably are not AI at all), common-sense reasoning and subsumption architectures are not covered. Interest in AI peaked around this time, and after a few years the AI winter, or rather ice age, set in.

Computer Organization and Programming

I gave the Comp Org Lecture Course in 1985. It is now somewhat dated, but much of it is still relevant (e.g. logic circuits) or of retro- computing interest (e.g. PDP-11 programming).
