Quality Systems Awareness and Implementation

Course purpose

To provide delegates with an awareness of ISO 9001: 2000 and an understanding of the principles. To define how to use the quality system as a management tool for continuous improvement.

To provide guidelines and instructions on the initial introduction of a quality management system and define best implementation methods.

Aims

To provide delegates with awareness of ISO 9001: 2000 and methods of implementing the system. To define the sections within ISO 9001: 2000 which provide evaluation and feedback for the purpose of system improvement.

Objectives

On completion of the course the delegate should be able to:-

  • Understand the various elements of ISO 9001: 2000 from their department viewpoint and as a Company wide system.
  • Understand departmental links within the system rather than isolated departmental inputs.
  • Be aware of methods of evaluation which separate quality assurance from quality control and provide tools for improvement
  • Devise an implementation programme
  • Understand best methods of implementation
  • Understand the route to certification

Pre-course experience

A basic understanding of a quality system and departmental procedures.

Company staff who have input into quality and are required to be aware of the workings of ISO 9001: 2000.
