- Started on Workshop and picked up Stage 1 Kit
Converted Double Garage to Workshop (19' X 19') including Oil Fired Heating and Electrical Power.
Insulation treatment was extensive as I aimed to maintain 70F and less than 60% humidity at all times.
- June 1998... The build begins
Supervised by Europa Builder (Nigel Charles) in the 'black art' of Composites.
Completed Chock and then on to the real thing.... The Rudder. The lay ups although intense were rewarding.
Over next 4 months completed Stage 1.
- November 1998
Collected XS Wings from Europa factory with Paddy Clarke who was collecting Stage 1 Kit
(now completed and Flying Monowheel G-KIMM).
The original Classic Wings are a testimony to skill and dedication of earlier Europa Builders! About 150+ Hours on XS Wing completion including AoA install.

- 1999... Crazy year
Continued with Wings. Cured, filled and primed all Control Surfaces.Travelled throughout year to USA, Minneapolis, Seattle and East Coast on Business.
Platignum + Air Miles with American Airlines in that year. Europa build activity minimal.
- 2000... even crazier Year
Lots of travel and life complications meant very little work on Europa. Started on a redesigned
Instrument panel and decided to defer on Monowheel or 'conventional' and ordered Trigear Fuselage Kit at end of year.
- 2001-2002
More time of non-Europa activity. Lots of travel and infrequent opportunities to do any building.
