This site evolved from my Rick Wakeman discography which I started back in about 1996 or 1997. Eventually I decided I wanted to make more of it and purchased the domain name rickwakeman.co.uk but not long after that Rick indicated that he'd like to have that for himself so I happily released it. I settled on the domain recollection.co.uk in order to keep the Wakeman theme but it also seemed to have potential for a broader personal music site - one could even say it sounds like "record collection".

At one stage this site was a lot bigger but I decided I really had to shrink it down to something that I might be interested in maintaining which just left a few pages on other artists:

These are really just chatty discographies but there is a more substantial sub-site for Chrissie Hammond but not a lot is happening with it at the moment because I don't have any useful information (hint, hint).

I still found that I had pages for excellent artists like Adam Wakeman, Oliver Wakeman and Michelle Young that I wasn't keeping up to date enough for my tastes (not that anyone but me is likely to have taken any notice of this) and also my information was really just second hand information from their official sites with very limited additional comments from me. So I have replaced my pages with links to those official sites. I will keep my pages where there are no official sites or I consider my pages complement them.

On all pages you can click on the word "Recollection" at the top to return here and I will try and improve on this sometime. If you do want to bookmark any of the pages then please use the URL that is mentioned at the bottom of the page as the site is normally shown in a frame and could potentially be moved.
