Welcome to the home page of Gestalt SouthWest.

GSW is an association with the aim of :

• initiating and fostering the development of the Gestalt approach in the South West of the UK
  
• applying Gestalt theory to therapy, training and consultation
  
• establishing an approachable and supportive Gestalt community
  
• improving communication both between existing Gestalt practitioners and other professionals interested in the Gestalt approach
  

GSW runs events for those interested in the Gestalt approach or wanting to practice Gestalt in their lives. For many years it developed a well-established integrated training programme in Gestalt - this last ran in 2001.

Gestalt is best known as an approach to counselling and psychotherapy. Many of our members are interested in applying Gestalt for themselves or to draw on in it their work situation. Our programme is equally suitable for all these interests and people with differing goals learn alongside each other.
