IoW Girl to Wed AbFab Star's Son

The 28-year-old son (James Aenas, born 16 October 1967, father Michael Claydon) of Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley has announced his engagement to the daughter of a High Sheriff!

Jamie Lumley's bride-to-be Louise is the 25-year-old daughter of Isle of Wight High Sheriff Mrs. Judi Griffin. Mrs. Griffin, who is also a magistrate and deputy lieutenant of the Island, said that both she and dairy farmer husband, Richard, were overjoyed at the announcement of the engagement.

"All the family are delighted. It's great news, and I'm especially pleased that they have decided to set up home on the Island after they marry. We're very fond of Jamie, and we get on well with his mum and dad," she said.

For many years, AbFab star Joanna fuelled the society rumour mill by refusing to reveal the identity of Jamie's father - London photographer Michael Claydon. But Harrow-educated Jamie said he couldn't understand what all the fuss was about. "It's very flattering to have all the attention and I think mum's success with Absolutely Fabulous has rekindled it, but I can't see what all the fuss is about, myself".

English teacher Jamie said he and Louise, an employee of the Island's council, are now planning a quiet summer wedding at a secret location on the Island. "We want a quiet wedding for what I hope will be a very special day for both of us, the less paparazzi the better," he said.
