Les Gets is an excellent summer resort, a fact not often appreciated by British holiday-makers. The climate and scenery in summer are superb, and the list of available activities is long: Walking, climbing, cycling (road and mountain biking), riding, tennis, golf (Les Gets has its own 18-hole course with the most spectacular views), white water rafting, skating, hot air ballooning, paragliding, devil-karts (unpowered go-karts free-wheeling down the grass slopes), bungee jumping, Adventure Park, swimming/sunbathing (the lake in Les Gets, with supervised bathing and a water slide, is 300m from the chalet, and there are indoor pools in the village and in Morzine).

For summer expeditions, Lake Geneva (Evian, Thonon, Yvoire) is 45 mins drive, Annecy about 1hr, and Chamonix and Mont Blanc also approx 1hr.
