Fake Blood.

Okay, you have a fixation for the horror flicks, but one thing that you have to learn is how to make decent blood - AND PLENTY OF IT!

For years it has been the one piece of make-up that has eluded the non-professional, until now. What is even better about this thing is it can be done in various ways, only you can determine which is the best for you. I have scoured the net to find the best possible ways in which to do this, so here goes.

RECIPE #1

1 pint corn syrup
1 oz. red food coloring
2 1/2tsp yellow food coloring
1/2 tsp zinc oxide powder(from pharmacies)
1 oz. water
1 oz photo-flo(optional flow agent, toxic if used in mouth)

Get a trusty old egg beater, it is the best way to mix the stuff together. Put the water and the corn syrup in a bowl.
Next, put the powder in a small container and add a small amount of water so you can stir it into a paste. Add the red and about 1 1/2 tsp of the yellow. Put that paste into the bowl with the water and the corn syrup and mix it all together with the egg beater. Add the rest of the yellow and mix it some more. Keep going until you have a nice smooth texture.

That's it, you're done. If you're not going to have this stuff in the mouth (i.e. not having your head covered in this gunk) then add Photo-Flo. It will help the blood flow and soak into the clothes more naturally. HOWEVER, do not use this if blood is applied to the mouth as the Photo-Flo is a toxic substance and will KILL YOU!

RECIPE #2

100g corn syrup
20g red food color
10g yellow food color
8g dishwashing detergeant
20-50g wheaten cornflour (25g is a good amount)

Pretty much in the same tradition as Recipe #1, but is a little less toxic (But then again, why would you want to swallow Detergent).

The detergent is really more of a substitute for the Photo-Flo, however don't expect the same result. Photo-Flo is better, but if you're really in a bind then go ahead and use this!

RECIPE #3

I found this lying about the net some place, but found it to be a funny thing to try. A great one for blondes who wish to dye their hair too!

All you have to do is get some Nutregena Shampoo, and add a little coluring - Red obviously, but add a little blue and/or yellow to that too. As I said, if you have blonde hair, then it may actually dye it.

A big shout goes out to JM, Gore Master, and Cyberfreak who recipies I found on the Likeastory Message Forum.
