Despite many attempts by the priesthood to keep this story from breaking, our skillful scribes have finally managed to release this story. It seems that the Goddess known as Arianrhod is suffering the toll of the recent wars and bloodshed to visit our lands. It has been reported that many icons and statues of this deity have been bleeding! Temples and shrines across the land have seen these strange happenings take place, and many priests have gone into seclusion to avoid the general populace. It has even been rumoured that Arianrhod's power is failing! Will we see a goddess fall from the heavens???
Stories from the Bretai tribesmen of Baylorn tell of a mysterious clansman who has been sighted heading west. It is said he only appears as the first rays of dawn rise over the hills, and although he has only been seen from a distance, the weapon he carries is clearly visible. A Golden Spear that shines as bright as the sun! Bretai Elders surmise that this weapon is the Golden Spear of the Sun, an ancient creation of powers unknown, which appears in many old Bretai stories. The significance of the warrior's appearance is not yet known.

However, following recent investigation by brave adventurers, it has been discovered that unscrupulous rogues have been impersonating priests of Bel in Central Mercia itself!! Summer Castle now advises the populace to be wary of any follower of Bel who is not in the company of a Knight of Taris.
This section relies on submissions from YOU as adventure writers and adventurers. If you can send me a brief paragraph with details of what happened in the adventure, as might be told through the mouth of a bard, I can place it on the web as common knowledge. (When I've uploaded the current affairs archive, you'll be able to see what kind of detail I mean)
Bear in mind that these 'snippets' are often fairly brief and shallow in content, i.e. don't reveal campaign secrets etc. Add enough detail so other PCs know what is going on in the world, but don't go OTT. It's also worth noting that most news reports are passed on by the local lord (in many cases), and so there could be some political obfuscation in there too, and even downright red herrings.
I'm sure there's some fiendishly diabolical genius out there with some cunning plans...
