The Mercian Triad

This is a small province bordering on Caladon, Central Mercia and West Mercia. It is home to a very insular people who like to keep themselves to themselves. In 1291, the lands were seized by West Mercia, and martial law imposed. However, in 1295, the Mercian Triad rises out of the ground on a rocky plateau. It settles at a height of about 50', and it is discovered that rivers entering the Triad now flow up the cliff face. A spokesman from the Aven Mages Guild divines that it is a benign occurrence of great import. Pressure from Central Mercia forces West Mercia to give the land back to the people, and peace is quickly restored.
