Pictured above is the successful Breasclete football team who won the Lewis & Harris Sports Festival under-12 competition for 2004. This was a huge success for our local boys who beat teams from Back, Laxdale and United during the competition.

The boys have shown great talent, skill and improved confidence over the past year. The team coaches are justifiably proud of the boys and hope that this success will encourage the team to greater things.

The victory was celebrated with a surprise 'civic reception' attended by the parents and friends of the team where a very enjoyable evening was had by all. Special thanks are due to the mothers for preparing the surprise spread.

This years Mod Eilean an Siar heralded the end of the spring school term with a flurry of activity. Children took part in many competitions featuring in solo, choir and groupwork. A vote of congratulations to all who took part and to the teachers for preparing the children so well.

Christina MacLeod, P6 is pictured holding her trophy for Fluent solo singing 9 - 12years. Christina also achieved 2nd prize for her recitation.

Congratulations to all the P1 - P7 Gaelic Medium pupils for winning the Alliance and Leicester Shield for Literary entries

Other notable performances include the Group Recitation P1 - P4 who achieved 2nd place and Eileen MacLennan who was placed 3rd equal in the Fluent solo singing 9 - 12 competition.
