Sue and I, have built ChasAcre from scratch, back in 1988 when we first put pen to planning, and since then we have planned our home to our own ideas. Even now after many years of residence we are still re-creating garden features, and trying to improve. We are retired, both as state pensioners, being part of the third age, living comfortably and enjoying life in our beautiful surroundings in a quiet part of Wiltshire. Gardening is our main hobby, though we both diverse into computer technology, then Sue spreads her wings into village responsibilities of local church activities, where as I being much more elderly take life a bit easier and satisfy myself with reading books. The area is abundant with wild life , the biggest pleasure is to feed and watch the bird habitat, from the smallest ‘Jenny Wren’ to a ‘Buzzard’ over the Plain. Deer, badgers, foxes, squirrels, rabbits and lots of others, are always to be seen. To Sue it is her birth place, for me it is a complete contrast to my humble beginnings in the back streets of London.
