WULFINGAS 450 -- 550 AD
A small, friendly group reenacting the early Anglo-Saxon settlers in England.
Our main public displays are at West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village, Suffolk, where we perform two small plays from Beowulf, showing his heroic deeds
against Grendel and the Firedrake and talk about the various burial practices from the early Anglo-Saxon period.
We also demonstrate 5th and 6th century cookery, crafts, games and costumes.
Wulfingas members also appear regularly at Donington le Heath Manor house in Leicestershire and at Sutton Hoo, where we demonstrate combat as well.
Private gatherings include feasts and fighting weekends, where we are often joined by members of other Germanic and late Roman groups.
New members are always welcome -- to find out more contact Kim on 01263 424372, or email Richard
