I was born in Canning Town in the east end of London on 9th October 1946. My mum's name was Doris Lashmar and she married my Dad, John Collins in October 1939. I have one brother called John, who is married to Barbara and has two children, (Philip and Paula). My aunts are Florence, (cousins Jim and Joyce) and Dolly, (cousin Alan) Plus I have Uncles Alf Lashmar, (cousins Shirley, David, and Peter) and Freddie Lashmar, (cousins Maureen, Denise, and Peter). There is a strong rumour that our lodger at that time, Sid Winsbury, may possibly be my real Father. In 1952 we moved to Teignmouth in Devon.

I first married in 1963 to Terry Rodgers and had twin boys, David and Paul in 1964 and daughter Anne-Marie in 1966. Sadly Anne-Marie died in 1968 and I also tragically lost David in 1996. I moved to South Africa in 1975 where we lived until 1987 before returning to the U.K.
David had married Linda and had two children, Ian and Chantelle. Paul married Debbie and has three girls; Stephanie, Lyndsey, and Nicola.

Terry returned to South Africa but I stayed and later we divorced. Through Dateline International I met and married Barry.
