We all have periods of feeling good, beyond our normal sense of well-being. When we are feeling good, life seems to go good for us. We feel lucky. But luck is just what arises when your aura is strong. Your aura influences the world around you — your own excess of positive energy interacts with the world in a way that brings you luck.

Even people who believe they are "unlucky" will regularly — several times a day! — experience episodes of good luck, but might be oblivious to them because they are so minor.

Like any natural system, our auras are prone to fluctuations. Many things affect our auras, particularly our emotional lives. Ever noticed how when you are going through an emotional bad patch, nothing else seems to go right for you too? That's because your aura is subdued and unable to positively influence the world around you to your benefit, or simply protect you from negative influences.

Obscure texts tell us that a very long time ago the Magi wrote that certain rare "stones" could work like a reservoir, storing a person's own natural positive energy in times of plenty, gently releasing it in times of need. However, we now know they were surely referring to crystals, not stones. This could account for how the knowledge was lost for millennia.

The crystals we select cannot store negative energy, but they will help keep negative energy away from you. You must carry your Life Crystal with you whenever you can, in your pocket or purse. Handle it frequently, for the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it, and the greater will be its influence in your life. Unfortunately, determining which crystals are suitable as Life Crystals is a very slow and involved process. This has to be reflected in the price, for to exist in the modern world we have to live by its commercial rules. We cannot devote eleven hours (the current average) to selecting a single crystal from hundreds of others without asking for that time to be at least nominally rewarded. Hence, Life Crystals are expensive. However, they are not as expensive as they were in the time of the Magi, who apparently exchanged these rare and powerful assets for princely sums.
