About me and my work

I have over thirty years trained experience as a designer/ pattern maker and worked in the fashion industry in London before setting up my own design studio in Bristol in 1992. I have taught pattern layout and design at the London College of Fashion and my book on the subject was published in 2000.

My MA History of Textiles and Dress has influenced my work in textile conservation and period styling. Aspects of the design such as ruffled skirts, bustles and the structured bone bodice are popular features of the silhouette for both teaching and for bridal-wear design.

Textile conservation includes repairs, restoring shapes and repacking for storage on christening robes, costumes and samplers. See under contact for details.
