The Dunlop tyre factory occupied an immense space on the other side of this dual carriageway and the pavement outside was lined with bus shelters.
The road actually led nowhere, but ended in a roundabout just about where the camera is.
Since the factory was demolished three industrial estates have been built on the site. The rest of the space, just across the road here, was being turned into a large car park for the airport in spring 2003.
